Miles to Go before I sleep

There is a beautiful poem by Robert Frost which I read at some time in my childhood years. I have always remembered the beautiful lines – The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep. The never stopping, never retreating, just the will, persistence and courage to go on and on. Now, I guess that explains why I sleep late at night, doesn’t it? lol

night warrior woods Miles to Go before I sleep

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

Life is too Short to wake up with Regrets

life regrets Life is too Short to wake up with Regrets

Found some very memorable and beautiful lines here:- http://www.gregghawkins.com/life-is-too-short-to-wake-up-with-regrets/

Life is too short to wake up
in the morning with regrets.

Love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the ones who don’t.

And believe that everything happens
for a reason

If you get a second chance, take it
If it changes your life, let it

Nobody said life would be easy.
They just promised it would be worth it.

Every Problem has a Solution

There is this interesting piece of advice I stumbled upon here
http://jo-inspirations.blogspot.com/2010/01/there-is-solution-for-every-problem.html telling the story of an old man who lived alone in Minnesota. He wanted to spade his potato garden, but it was very hard work.
His only son, who would have helped him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and mentioned his situation.
———-
“Dear Son, I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won’t be able to plant my potato garden this year.
I hate to miss doing the garden, because your mother always loved planting time. I’m just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot.If you were here, all my troubles would be over. I know you would dig the plot for me, if you weren’t in prison.
Love, Dad”
———-
Shortly afterwards, the old man received this telegram:
“For Heaven’s sake, Dad,don’t dig up the garden!! That’s where I buried the GUNS!”
The next morning, a dozen FBI agents and local police officers showed up and dug up the entire garden without finding any guns.
Confused, the old man wrote another note to his son telling him what happened and asked him what to do next.
His son’s reply was: “Go ahead and plant your potatoes, Dad. It’s the best I could do for you from here.”
