Google Voice Search – Now talk to your Search Engine

Google has had a pretty big year in terms of improvements. First, they introduce +1 and now they introduce voice search for desktop. While voice search has been a big part of Android for years, desktop users have had to stick to typing. Google used all of the voice data it has been collecting on Android to hone desktop search into a well-oiled machine.

The effectiveness of voice search is surprisingly good. Google is leading the pack when it comes to voice recognition. Despite trying to stump it with uncommon words, out of the 50 or so times I used voice search it only misheard me twice. This includes searches involving names and book titles. It’s clear that Google has been putting all those mobile voice searches to good use.

Nobody remains Virgin

Nobody remains fucks everyone…sensing fun and profoundness together in it. This indian auto driver is quite something.

Thumbnail previews on Google Search

Google seems to be doing a lot these days. After Google Instant, it has come up with another intuitive (though not much innovative) page results thumbnail previews feature. This is probably another attempt to enhance search experience for users or (perhaps a move to beat Bing). Note Bing is already offering similar thumbnail previews of webpages on search results pages. Google thumbnail previews are although a little different than how Bing displays its previews. The larger thumbnail is shown as soon as you hover the mouse over a search result. A somewhat similar functionality is already offered in image results where a larger preview of image is displayed after clicking.

The brave stand Tall

Now, this is what we call attitude. Amid all the difficulties…the brave stand tall.

Let me sing you a waltz

My first english song on this blog probably and it had to be this. A waltz for a night by Julie Delpy from the movie Before Sunset which I just so very much like, both the song and the movie…loved Before Sunrise, it was equally marvellous, two great movies really. I’d say two of my all time favorites movies, Gems in my collection! I can go on and on about the movie pair…I don’t intend to bore you with the details though… you listen to the waltz….the lyrics are beautiful and so moving.

When things go wrong

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow–
You may succeed with another blow.

Hum jo chale tum bhi chalo saath

One of the most soothing songs you’ll ever hear is this one – Hum jo chale tum bhi chalo saath from Silk route in the soulful voice of Mohit Chauhan who started off his career with Silk route band. Silk route has always created a different sort of music, something that comforts your soul from deep within. Normally, such kind of inherent soothing quality in music is normally seen in Ghazals. Listen to this one and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I get nostalgic listening it. Music as well as lyrics both are amazingly beautiful.
