New Year Resolutions & the Same Old You!

The end of the year celebrations are a funny thing. People gather up, hang out, go party, exchange wishes and gifts, do funny things, some stupid, some good and of course make new resolutions for the coming year. Talking of New Year resolutions, I am sure you must have at some point of time made resolutions. You might still be resolving for the better only to find out later that the little something you’re trying to achieve has long vanished in thin air.

For the year 2010, I do not have any resolutions in particular, just in the same way my computer monitor has been running on 1024*768 resolution for years, and will probably run the same. Before I go off topic, a couple of funny new year’s resolutions & few suggestions on what could be your resolution for the year ahead.

Funny Five New year resolutions taken from http://www.slinkycity.com/funny-resolutions.html
I will answer my snail mail with the same enthusiasm with which I answer my e-mail.
When I hear a funny joke I will not reply, “LOL… LOL!”
I will try to figure out why I “really” need 11 e-mail addresses.
I will balance my checkbook. (on my nose).
I will think of a password for my computer other than “password.”

More resolutions to keep yourself busy
I will:-
Take up smoking – it helps keep tobacco workers in jobs.
Drink more water – (with whisky & wine)
Flirt less with the officemates (simply because most of them are guys!)
Flirt less with the girls (to disrupt chain reaction of flirting)
Remind friends to bring their digital camera before going out.
Not check emails & offliners every 2 minutes.
Not stare at my computer monitor simply because I don’t have anything worthwhile to do.
Lose weight (because other people think I am kinda overweight)
Put on weight (because the same people would think I was better earlier)
Will not tweet while I am sleepy.
Will not wait for beautiful girls to show up in public transport.
Will never expect a beautiful girl to fill up a new office vacancy.
Will not go to Cafe Coffee day because the last experience sucked.
Will not play online games till late night just to achieve some stupid ranking.
Update my resume this year (current job sucks always!).
Cut down on junk food so that the world can consume it more.
Will not read SMS messages enthusiastically (thanks to annoying sms spam from Airtel!)

I am now really running out of ideas, if you have any good suggestion for a new year’s resolution, let me know. By the way, if you are also short on your resolution ideas, head on to New year’s Resolution Generator for some fun ideas. It requires flash player to work.

So, what’s your resolution this year? Let me know in comments.

Nice ideas. The resolution generator is good tool. One more thing, your blog is probably not working on IE 8. The layout falls apart.
